Endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) are investigations using a small flexible telescope to visualise the inside of your gastrointestinal tract and identify the source of symptoms, bleeding, iron deficiency and exclude bowel cancer. Endoscopy also allows for biopsies and removal of pre-cancer lesions known as polyps.
