Keeping it fresh: how plain writing gets your message across from Contextualise Editorial

Plain writing, also known as Plain English, is the way to go to get your message across. Recent examples of unclear language have had unexpected results — for example Woolworth's Anzac Tribute ads in April, which upset many people. Clearly that wasn't Woolie's intention! It's simple: use the wrong language and you send the wrong message! Each month Contextualise posts a blog article on writing Plain English. April's post post on Woolie's unintentional Anzac slur, and how to avoid using clumsy language drew a lot of attention. You can read it and the other posts on plain writing at http://www.contextualise.com/about/lets-be-clear-thoughts-on-writing-and-editing/lets-be-clear-thoughts-on-writing-and-editingfresh/
