The Modiewark GLM Mini Rescue is a universal pocket size proximity tester, operating in the AC voltage range 20 volts and up given the correct setting. The GLM Mini has been designed for emergency rescue, linesmen, tree surgeons, electricians and trained personnel for the determination of "Live and Dead" situations for safety purposes and life threatening situations. This unit can be operated in the hand, pocket, pouch and body mounted. A Special universal or sunrise fitting can be added to attach to a hot stick.

Radiated field strength increases with voltage and decreases with earth shielding. The radiated field from a cable of closely bunched conductors supplied by three phase power tends to cancel. Detecting distance of a 240 volt single live wire is approximately 100mm and with a bunched neutral and earth, as a flexible cable, the distance is 50mm. Typical uses:- Identifying live conductors. Fault finding in flexible cables. Checking equipment grounding. Neon lighting servicing. Tracking liv
