Our restoration and reconditioning process provides a solution to return the lenses to a good or near new condition, relative to the level of lens deterioration.
A restored or reconditioned lens will look significantly better and improve lighting effectiveness, and achieve this at a cost far less than replacing the lenses. Please look at the before and after images for examples.
A major difference with our restoration and reconditioning process, apart from the multi-step process, is we apply a final surface protectant. The surface protect is carefully pressure sprayed onto the lens and replicates the original equipment manufacturers coating. Secondly, the protectant is cured on the lens surface using a light wave length to ensure long term bonding to the surface is achieved and rapidly hardens.
Why do your processes and products achieve a better result?
It's no surprise that not all headlight restorations processes and products are created equal!
We investigated and experimented with a range of available techniques and products in the market and determined the only solutions that provide excellent results and a good degree of life are those which closely replicate the manufacturer's headlight build processes. This did surprise us either.
Our multi-step processes, and latest products take us more time to complete and cost us a bit more in product...but we want the job to last, as we are sure you do!
We spend more time in preparation, masking off the area to protect the car, take greater steps in resurfacing to optimise the surface for clarity, and final protectant bonding. It must be a dust free environment so we shroud the light during spraying to avoid surface contaminates.
It's absolutely critical that a final surface protectant is applied and cured by a light curing process, protecting the lens against UV, and providing a resistant surface to chemicals, wear, etc.
We use a specialised UV-curable urethane acrylate coating that we apply with an atomised low pressure spray to the lens.
Our overall processes and products replicates as close as possible to how lenses are treated in the factory.
Any variation to these techniques or products is NOT going to last.
