We all face a range of different challenges and struggles in our lives. Sometimes these are manageable and other times we need extra support. Dr Puneet Singh is a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to providing specialised support for a range of issues that are encountered across the lifespan. She draws on current research and provides evidenced based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Puneet has a particular interest in anxiety and has received specialist training in this area from the Emotional Health Clinic (previously known as Macquarie University Anxiety Research Unit). The clinic is part of the Centre for Emotional Health which produces internationally recognised research for the treatment of anxiety and emotional difficulties. Puneet was involved in individual and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults suffering from anxiety. She ran the ‘Study without Stress’ group for HSC students, was the national co-ordinator for the Child Anxiety Rural Outreach Program (CAROP), and co-created the motivational interviewing treatment protocol for adults with social anxiety. Additionally, Puneet has received specialist training for working with complex problems and trauma in adults. She regularly attends advanced training workshops to learn the most up to date techniques and approaches in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and innovative procedures for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
