FOCUSED FOOT SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
5 to 11 July 2014, 9.00 to 3.00
The Literacy and Learning Centre is running a school holiday program for kids who love footy and being active, but who could also benefit from some extra support for their literacy skills.
The Focused Footy School Holiday Program will be run in the next school holidays-- 7 to 11 July 2014 by teachers Kieran Black and Josine Baz, Kieran Black is also a professional Rugby Union player and is a qualified PE teacher. Josine Baz is a specialist literacy teacher. Kieran has run numerous skills training programs for children, including the All Blacks Skills coaching camp for kids in New Zealand.
Over five days, children will go through a range of footy skills drills and activities. At the same time they will take part in activities to reinforce specific literacy skills, including teaching basic grammar, identifying text types, and writing an exposition. Children will create their own football card, develop their own fitness program, and gain awards for mastering new literacy and footy skills.
Contact the Literacy and Learning Centre for more details or to register your child for a place in the program.
