Boat maintenance check-up
Mobile Marine Service
Outboard Motors, Boat Motors, Boat Repairs
Recommended by all major manufacturers to be done every 6 months for saltwater use,
a Maintenance Check-Up is a must have if your boat hasn't been used or had a service for awhile.
Just to make sure everything is fine we will do a check of your engine, battery condition, navigation lights, trailer bearings, etc. We will grease all lubricating points, apply corrosion protection on all critical areas and check anodes functionality for best protection against corrosion.
We will remove and refit the prop to check for any possible fishing lines and we will grease the prop splines.
We will start the engine making sure it pump water and is easy to start.
We will check fuel condition. Stale fuel is #1 killer for marine engines (fuel starts to lower its octane after 6-10 weeks depending on climate and as a rule fuel should not be older than 3 months for 2 stroke engines (DFI included) and 6 months for 4 stroke engines. Old fuel can be treated or removed - paid separately depending on condition and volume.
If we find any developing problems you will receive a comprehensive report with pictures and corrective action plan.
We know from experience that there is a high number of boats that are serviced in average once every 2 years (instead of every 6 months for some Yamaha models) and that increase the chance to develop problems that will result in expensive repairs.
