Superior Pump Technologies
A small town water purification plant drew it’s water deep from the water channel it abutted. The marina posed concerns of boat traffic releasing diesel and gasoline into the channel. This could potentially work its way into the water intake pipes and to the RO water purification plant.
Fuels in a drinking water source area serious issue. Also serious is theaffect that oils can have on RO filtrationsystems by clogging the microfilters. The INVALCO HSS 1006 was perfect for this application. It would provide a low maintenance solution to the small town that had limited manpower. The unit is installed in the pump station near the marina. A small pump draws a sample of the intake water from the sump within the pump station. The building has a scada system that relayed the information to the local purification plant and also to a remote regional center hundreds of kilometers away. The regional center has around the clock manpower to help monito rthe remote sites.Any indication of petroleum fuels in the water is immediately alerted to appropriate personnel for investigation and action.
