Integrated Wireless  would like to announce the release of Multicast messaging

Multicast allows a DECT system to simultaneously send messages to specified groups to optimise emergency responses. Current DECT systems send messages and alarms individually in a sequential order which creates a lag time between handsets receiving a message, a matter of seconds in most cases.

This can create an issue in emergencies where seconds can be the difference in averting a disaster.

This new function comes from an Ascom IP-DECT add-on known as ESS (Enhanced System Services), which allows the system to utilise Multicast messaging along with Broadcast (where messages are sent to all handsets on the network as opposed to select groups) and numerous other system upgrades.
