Bolted Tank Supplier Expands Dealer Network
CST Industries, Inc.
Tanks, Fuel Tanks, Diesel Tanks
Service providers for the design and construction of bulk fuel storage, Fuel Tank and Pipe, recently signed a cooperation agreement with CST Industries, Inc., the world’s largest factory coated sectional tanks and silo company, for the provision of a range of bolted, sectional storage tanks.
Above Ground Tanks
The contract scope is to provide a wide range of low cost, high performance sectional storage tanks for a variety of applications for diesel storage, lubricant storage, waste water, fire water and process tanks.
CST Industries specialises in the design and supply of pre-engineered steel storage tanks, offering factory manufactured tanks using both glass-fused-steel and thermosetting modified epoxy powder lining systems, the most advanced innovations available in steel tank lining technology.
Since all components are manufactured in the factory and easily assembled, CST tanks can be installed in many situations where field-welded steel and concrete tanks cannot. The tanks are built with a modular construction with the tank panels being bolted together to form the floor, shell, and roof of the tanks. The roofs can either be supported cone roofs or geodesic domes. Onsite construction time is also considerably reduced for each style of tank, with the construction of a 1 Mega-Litre tank typically requiring only 10 to 12 days.
While construction time is considerably reduced, the life-cycle cost of the system is also the lowest of all tanks system and is achieved through high quality factory applied coatings that provide service lives in excess of 50 years.
Each tank is approved to one or a number of industry codes and meet all required standards: AS1692 steel tanks for flammable and combustible liquids; AWWA D103 97 factory-coated bolted carbon steel tanks for water storage; and API 12B specification for bolted tanks for storage of production liquids.
As to the contract brief, the tanks can be used in a range of applications, such as fuel tanks for diesel, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils and aviation fuel; as well as process tanks for a variety of usages including mining fluids and slurry, lubricants, edible oils and lime and carbonate slurry; and for water storage for potable water, waste water, aeration and thickeners, among many others.
The tanks are available in sizes from 13cu m (13 kilo litres) to 20,000cu m (20 mega litres) and beyond.
