All reservations will be confirmed to clients with a full costing showing your Purchase Order, Cost Centre, and Department if required.

GTS will provide each traveller with a complete travel pack that includes a ticket, itinerary, car hire and hotel confirmations and other appropriate documentation, unless electronic ticketing is applicable to the destination.

E tickets (electronic tickets) are now standard for all major domestic and international travel destinations.

Paper tickets will only be issued to non e-ticket destinations and these will be delivered to your office.

For intrastate / interstate offices:

On the very rare occasion when tickets have to be issued we send them by overnight courier. Tickets requested closer to departure that would require an airline issue in another city, will incur an airline ticketing fee of approximately A$100.00 per ticket.

The courier costs for urgent deliveries (deliveries within 3 hours) will be at the client’s expense.

Alternatively, airline tickets can be made available at the specific airline counter at the airport.

Our improved after hour’s service commenced on 01 July 2008

For many years prior to this our afterhours service was provided by our business hours staff utilizing a laptop from their home or from wherever they might be when a call came through. This usually meant we would have to call you back once the laptop had been used to access our booking system and the staff member was in a position to talk to you in a quiet location. They may have been asleep, away from home or driving when your call came through.

Whilst we get very few calls per company, calls are becoming more frequent in total and the service we previously provided was no longer appropriate in this fast moving business world. The new service means you will have immediate access to a consultant who is ready to take your call with all systems live. Whilst there will now be a small charge of $42.00 for each after hours call, you only pay when you use the service and we believe that given the small number of calls we have received per company in the past, this is a very small user pays price for a much improved service. Many of the afterhours calls we have received in the past could have been made later that business day or the next business day when staff were available in the office. In future if an employee rings through our staff member will advise them if the call can be made during normal business hours and there will be no charge. They will be advised that if they do proceed then a charge of $42.00 will be applied to the booking. GTS Travel Management are covering the majority of the cost of providing this much enhanced service and we have been very mindful that the afterhours fee does not have a profit component built into it, merely a part contribution to a really first rate user pays service with consultants ready to take your call and quickly process your requests.

GTS confidentially maintains both client and each traveller’s profiles in our computer reservation system. Computerised profiles allow our travel consultants to maximise booking speed and accuracy by having all relevant information readily available. client’s profile includes the corporate travel policy and pertinent information such as ticket delivery locations and billing methods. Individual traveller profiles contain specific and repetitive information such as airline membership numbers, seating preferences and special meal requirements, room type preferences etc. When advised, GTS is readily able to update this information should there be any changes made or required.

We offer travel insurance, including comprehensive business travel insurance for individuals or tailored to suit client’s travel requirements as a whole.

GTS Foreign Exchange Services can provide a range of traveller’s cheques and foreign currency.

American Express Traveller’s Cheques are recognised worldwide. They are available in major currencies including Australian Dollars, US Dollars, Euros, Canadian Dollars, Pounds Sterling, and Japanese Yen.
