I love corsets! A well made corset can even be comfortable
to wear! I specialise in bespoke, made to measure corsetry.
You may like to have a corset that is true to a specific
period (a replica or re-creation), be it Tudor, Elizabethan or Victorian. You
may want a corselet to wear with a 1950’s gown, or something contemporary,
gothic or avant-garde. I can create wedding / bridal corsets to wear as a
bodice or underneath your gown, or perhaps for the wedding night.
A growing field of interest is Men’s corsetry. Making a
corset for a man is a specialised technique and can achieve a powerful
masculine look if required.
Any corsetry that extends below the natural waistline is
made with steel and spiral steel boning. This means that your corset will not
bend into a permanently weird shape (like with plastic bones) and it will last
a long time.
Each corset is custom made to fit you, if you have had
trouble finding a corset that fits well, or you think you are “hard to fit” let
me know. We will start with a toile (calico mock-up) to get the perfect fit and
then design a corset to meet your needs, fantasies or desires whether you are a
size 8 or 28. Don’t worry if you don’t look like Kate Moss, I am skilled at
making corsets work for all body shapes.
You can choose to have your corset made in fabric, leather
or PVC. Traditional or modern fabrics can be used - beaded, painted, dyed and
printed to produce a corset that is truly unique for you. You may like to have
stretch panels incorporated in the side or back of your corset to use for
performance, dance or just for comfort.
If you are worried
about changing shape, or extra flesh – don’t worry, a modesty panel can be
included to accommodate wider amounts of lacing.
On completion you will receive instructions on the wear and
care of your corset so that it can be worn over and over again.
