The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards wanted to set up a Visitor Appraisal trial for their 2010 Awards.
Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards
The Visitor Appraisal award also known as mystery shopping provides an unbiased account by an anonymous visitor of the customer experience of each entrant. Two mystery shops are conducted on the entrants and then the scores are included as a part of the overall judging process.
Some states had alread successfully incorporated this award and they wanted to intorduce it in a small way to see if the industry wanted to incorporate this award and judging process across all states and territories. SpySee having been involved with The Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards for the previous couple of years was contracted to run this trial. The trial was successful and now they are looking at incorporating this into the awards program across all states and territoriesfopr the 2011 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
