About A Touch Of Alpaca
Our garments come from the silky, lustrous fleece of Australian farmed alpacas. The ancestors of these animals came from the Andean Altiplano, 4000 meters above sea level, ranging from in the north to in the south.
Alpaca fibre is non-allergenic and highly suitable for people with sensitive skin.Fine alpaca is as soft as cashmere, but more affordable. It is lighter than merino wool, but three times more resistant to wear and tear.More than 20 natural shades are available from pure white and black to browns, fawns and greys, with no need to dye the fleece.A Touch of Alpaca uses only natural herbal dyes and earth friendly colours in the processing of our coloured yarns.
