Western Radiation Services is a NATA accredited commercial laboratory specialising in environmental radioactivity measurements. Its services include laboratory analysis for radioactivity in air, water and soil samples.

Western Radiation Services NATA accreditation includes quality assurance to ISO 17025 Standard, and full traceability of all standard sources used for calibration and in-house checking of our equipment and analysis counting systems.

The WRS Laboratory offers Gross Alpha/Beta and Specific Nuclide Testing to comply with the recommendations of the Drinking Water Guidelines (updated September 2001) and Australian Standard 3550.5.

Western Radiation prides itself on the efficiency of its laboratory and can offer turn around times of 2-3 weeks for Gross Alpha/Beta and Radium-226 and 4-6 weeks for Radium-228 testing from date of receipt.
