Internet training for Editshares LIGHTWORKS video editing software

Even though we are currently trainers for Final Cut 7 (Studio 3) and Final Cut X, we feel that the future of FCP X is perhaps not moving in the direction of the professional editor and is more likely to be aligned with a prosumer user looking for a more feature rich iMovie ……….. Final Cut Pro X is certainly that.

With that in mind we feel that the open source initiative of Editshare in releasing Lightworks as a free application to download with a very small annual license fee to be compelling.  Lightworks was conceived, as a software/hardware combination before FCP (much like Avid) and has been in continual use since the mid 1990s. We have a history of Lightworks on a separate page should you be interested.

We intend to offer training for Mac users of Lightworks when the Mac beta version becomes available on 19th December 2011. Our rates and facilities will be the same as what we offer for Final Cut, including the live and interactive, one on one internet training using the screen sharing features of Skype.
