The recently completed BuildSmart Sustainable Show Home, built by Holmesglen students and Burbank Homes, showcases the latest sustainable building materials including Uni-TWS? (Unitex? Thermal Wall System). The front, west wall is clad in Uni-TWS, which according to Bart Scheen, the co-ordinator of the BuildSmart project, was chosen for its ease of handling, high level of insulation and modern technologies. “Unitex has a good reputation in the industry as being forward thinking and is quick to help with new developments and apprenticeship programs” Scheen said. Unitex is thrilled to see Uni-TWS being used to educate people about sustainability. Uni-TWS was designed to provide an easy, affordable and energy-efficient method for insulating homes and buildings and the fact that it was chosen for the BuildSmart Sustainable Show Home says it all.
