About Southern Cross Philharmonia Orchestra
The Southern Cross Philharmonia Orchestra (also referred to as the SCPO) is an Australian orchestra established in Melbourne, which performs works from Australian and International composers, and appeals to classical music connoisseurs with some of the rare works that they play. Gerald Gentry (former staff conductor BBC Orchestras) is their Chief Conductor and Artistic Director.
The SCPO performs its own public concerts in Melbourne (see their web site for details) and is also available for hire for special functions and production recording (i.e. recorded session work). They can be scaled up or down in size from a small chamber to a full symphonic configuration. The SCPO can also develop a special program for your special event or perform written scores for production work.
