Dr Andrew Chan is a Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician. He is a Staff Specialist in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He is also the Director of Prevocational Education and Training at the Royal North Shore Hospital and Chair of the Network Committee for Prevocational Training. He has an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. Dr Chan has completed higher level postgraduate clinical training in Sleep Medicine (Level 2) through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney for his research into the use of oral appliances for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea. He has research publications in high-impact international medical journals and has been an invited speaker at research conferences. He has ongoing active research interests in Sleep Medicine (including a current Project Grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia as Chief Investigator).
