About Shire Kenpo Karate
Oz Kenpo Karate is an offspring of the original "Ed Parkers American Karate". Developed here by Baron Von Reuth (Van Wijk) who first brought The Famous Ed Parker and his team to Australia in the early 1980's it is spectacular and very dynamic.
You can expect a good strong workout. The junior class is similar to the senior system in that warm up's, forms, self defense, sparring and essentials are all covered.
Research the web for Parker Kenpo or Kenpo Karate Australia. Essentially a mix of Jiu Jitsu and Kung Fu, Oz Kenpo is unique with it's flowing moves, lightning fast hands and specialist kicks and it's clever use of body checking and contact manipulation.
