Redarc Electronics Pty Ltd (Redarc) is a South Australian company located in Lonsdale, in Adelaides southern suburbs, which designs and manufactures a range of electronic power conversion products. The business was established in 1979. Anthony and Michele Kittel have been proprietors of the business since 1997. Redarc has over 25 years experience in the research, design and manufacture of a range of electronic voltage converters, inverters, power supplies, battery chargers, electric brake products and associated products for the transportation industry. Redarc was formed due to the presence of both 12V DC and 24V DC trucks on the Australian market, resulting in the need for voltage converters to operate 12V DC accessory equipment in mainly the 24V DC models. The business boasts a customer base including major truck companies, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Mack, Iveco and DAF. Redarcs success has resulted from superior customer service, which reflects the needs of customers, and excellent after sales support and technical advice. Innovation is a cornerstone principle of Redarcs business and it is committed to developing new products and enhancing existing products through in-house research and development activities. Quality is another cornerstone principle of the business, and Redarc manufactures to AS/NZS ISO 9001 standards. Long serving REDARC Senior Electronics Technician, Mr Lex Clarke reports that 5V control systems are becoming more and more commonplace in tractors and earthmoving equipment. REDARC have developed a customised Voltage Sensitive Relay ideal for tapping into this signal. The voltage sensitive relay does not interrupt the signal from the computer in any way.
