Rack Armour incorporates a patent pending design with state of the art materials to make it unlike any other product on the market.
It's tough outer, or shock deflector, is made from a ballistics grade polymer, similar to that used in bullet proof vests. The ergonomic design is unique in that the curved edges deflect much of the impact away from the rack face. The outer is made from an extremely tough polymer which can withstand significant impact and has persistence of shape to give ongoing protection as the unit reverts back to its original form after impact.
The foam inner, or shock diffuser, has been designed to absorb any residual force of impact. The high density foam has been specially designed for use in Rack Armour. The shock diffuser acts to reduce inertia from any impact and diffuse the foce along the whole length of the unit rather than being concentrated at the point of impact. Any residual impact is therefore dissipated over a much lager area making it less likely to cause damage to your upright.
