Quickdraw Drafting was established in Gawler in 1986, providing a Building design and drafting service for Owner Builders, Developers, Builders and building trades, to document drawings and prepare Council applications for varying types of developments.
We provide a comprehensive ‘in house’ service to our clients. Those services consist of : site measures and drafting of existing buildings, building design, documentation for Provisional Development Plan consent applications (Planning approval) architectural working drawings (for Building Approval), Energy Efficiency Assessments, arrange for structural engineering and/or civil design, liaise with Council, arrange for Building Rules consent by Private Certification and payment of Council application fees and government levies associated with the development, which are required for Building approval.
At Quickdraw Drafting, we manage the documentation up to and including Building Rules consent. There are several stages in the preparation of the documentation depending on the type of development.
We prepare the documentation required for Building Rules consent in a staged process. Initially we undertake a site assessment of the development site, then prepare concept sketches, progressing to preparation of Provisional Development plan consent documentation. After Planning consent, we prepare Building Approval Documentation and finally, complete the Approval stage.
Developments that are non-complying or contentious in nature, may not gain Provisional Development Plan consent or Planning Approval. In that situation we would recommend the services of a Planning Consultant to act as your advocate in negotiations with Council and/or Development Assessment Panels, while we prepare the documentation.
Currently we share office accommodation with Civil and Structural Engineers, who we engage to complete the footing construction reports and provide civil and structural engineering design and documentation, as required.
