Naturopathy is a form of natural medicine that treats the body as a whole, treating the person rather than addressing symptoms. Naturopathy has a preventative approach to health care – it aims to balance the body so that illness is less likely to occur in the future. A Naturopath will want to know your diet, lifestyle, family background and environment, as well as the history of your complaint or illness.
In most cases they will also use Iridology, and perform a nail and tongue assessment. The goal is to gather as much information about you to create a treatment program that is specific for you.
Naturopathic treatments are non-invasive and are designed to stimulate the body's own healing powers, and include:
Herbal medicine, Nutrition, Homeopathy, Flower Remedies & Counselling techniques.
Available Monday to Saturday for full consultations or seven days a week for over-the-counter consultations for acute conditions, such as colds.
Intital Naturopathic consultations $95
Follow-up consultations $60
Private healthcare rebates are available.
