"A Downdraft Rangehood opens the kitchen area, limits clutter and is a key element in creating an interactive kitchen design"
Downdraft is an ingeniously concealed and completely unobtrusive ventilation system that is an alternative to the conventional Rangehood.
It is sleek and stylish, takes up minimal space and won’t impede on food preparation areas. What’s more, Downdraft is not noisy and because of the flexibility that it offers, the kitchen space can be designed so the cook can continue to interact with family and friends in adjacent dining and living areas.
This highly practical new air extraction system has the ability to be installed virtually anywhere. The kitchen can be designed so that the Cooktop can be positioned in front of a window, or on an island bench without the need for a canopy overhead. Compared to a traditional overhead ventilation system, Downdraft requires a lower space requirement and increases the amount of storage area available.
In Australia, Downdraft is available in three styles – Rear Riser (available in 600mm & 900mm), In Wall (available in 600mm & 900mm), Side Riser and In Bench. The Downdraft has a stainless steel finish that complements the other elements often found in today’s kitchens.
The Rear Riser Downdraft is designed to glide effortlessly into place when being used, and then glide away after cooking. The Rear Riser unit, the In-Wall downdraft is fitted flush fit on the wall in behind the Cooktop. The In Bench and Side Risers can be placed on the side of a cooktop, or in-between two cooktops and sits into the benchtop.
