GenTemp protects your valuable computing resources by sending an immediate SMS alert message directly up to 5 mobile phones. The remote temperature alarm system operates on both GSM and Next-G/3G mobile phone networks and comes with a high gain antenna to ensure reliable contact with your mobile phone network in weaker signal areas.
GenTemp continuously monitors the temperature of the server room and sends an alarm via the GSM or Next-G mobile phone network as soon as the temperature rises above the user-programmable temperature alarm point.
The user-programmable temperature alarm trip-point can be set anywhere from -50 to +150 Degrees Celsius. Typically the temperature alarm trip-point would be set around 28 to 33 Degrees Celsius.
A user can send a text commend message remotely to the GenTemp alarm system at any time from any mobile phone to request the current status of the system. GenTemp will respond by sending the current temperature back to the mobile phone that requested the information. Software supplied with the GenTemp GSM temperature alarm system enables a user-defined password to be set to prevent unauthorised use of the system.
In addition to requesting the current temperature, users can remotely switch a Digital output ON or OFF within the GenTemp unit. This output provides a convenient method to switching a Fan or other cooling device to provide temporary control of the temperature until the maintenance person can attend the remote site to fix the cooling issue.
GenTemp can be supplied with optional battery backup system. The backup battery is maintained in a fully charged state. In event of a power failure, the system will run from the backup battery. The system will then send a Mains Failure alarm message directly up to 5 mobile phones. The battery voltage is monitored an in event of low battery voltage, a low battery alarm is sent remotely via the GSM or Next-G mobile phone network.
GenTemp can be supplied fitted with optional display, keypad and local alarm indication. This provides instant visual indication current temperature as well as a local audible and visual alarm in case of over-temperature condition in addition to the remote alarm indication by GSM or Next-G mobile phone network.
GenTemp has been engineered to provide a reliable solution for remote monitoring of room temperature and ongoing dependable performance.
The system is designed, manufactured and 100% fully supported in Australia by Orbit Communications Pty Ltd.
