Pembroke School and Nat Weber Tennis Coaching are contributing to the tennis revolution by jumping onboard Tennis Australia’s kid’s starter program - Aviva Tennis Hot Shots. Tennis superstar Alicia Molik has thrown her support behind Aviva Tennis Hot Shots to get more kids active through playing the game of tennis.
“I have always really enjoyed playing tennis, and it is great to see kids having fun as part of the Aviva Tennis Hot Shots program. The softer balls and smaller courts really give them the chance to play the game, and get a feel for tennis, from the very beginning,” Alicia Molik said.
Aviva Tennis Hot Shots is for students that are wanting to learn and improve their tennis with the use of low compression tennis balls, smaller racquets and courts makes it easier to startplaying tennis in a scaled down environment. The competition program enables children who are not yet of standard to play tennis on a full size court with a regular tennis ball to compete against others at a similar standard whilst having fun. Launched during the lead up to the 2008 Australian Open, the program has already attracted hundreds of official venues, with thousands of students now experiencing competition tennis
for the first time. This is a great opportunity to get all students involved in tennis, the sport of a lifetime.
