Kevin Mullins has a diverse design portfolio and has
worked on numerous projects both in Australia and overseas. He is
formally qualified in Landscape Technology and Landscape Design and has
worked in the Landscape Industry for over 15 years. With expertise in
Horticulture; Plant Propagation; Landscape Construction; Landscape
Design, Landscape Documentation, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD),
Tendering and Project Management, Kevin has a full scope of knowledge
in the landscape industry. Kevin's career began in the landscape
construction and garden maintenance industry and this practical
experience formed a solid foundation for his current design profession.
He understands and knows what works well in outdoor spaces from plant
and hard materials selection to managing long-term maintenance. He has
a sound understanding of the processes involved in budget preparation
and tender submission and thus, can oversee projects from conception to
completion. With this comes a commitment and passion for landscape
design combined with intuitive design principles. In addition, Kevin’s
innovative landscape design skills have been acknowledged through his
role as a landscape researcher to Better Homes and Gardens TV in 2006.
His
award winning approach has encompassed many aspects of landscape design
including the design, documentation and project management of
streetscapes (traffic islands, road surface treatments and street
trees); public spaces (including parks, playgrounds, cycleways and
community & open space); private allotments; residential
subdivisions; wetland basins; drainage reserves; acoustic wall
treatments; and irrigation.
Kevin is
experienced in working in a multi-disciplinary team with architects,
planners and ecologists and has knowledge in the preparation of
conceptual drawings for Development Application (DA) and detailed
drawings for Construction Certificate (CC) Issue.
