About Mayagems
Mayagems has unique beads collected on our world travels which we custom design into unique jewellery. We run workshops to show you how to make your own wearable art. If you have the skills, you can choose beads & findings to make your own. We can also remodel your old beads into contemporary pieces.
We don't sell mass produced, readily available beads. We specialise in old, rare, unique, unusual beads, pendants & silver that has a story. We have 2000 bottles of hand cut gemstones like carnelian, onyx, citrine, quartz, lapis, coral, turquoise, amazonite, labradorite, as well as African bone, Indian lampwork & a magnificent range of unique, hand made Nepalese & Tibetan pieces.
Our trade bead selection consists of Padres, Millefiori, Masaai, gooseberries, Venetian bicones, Ethiopean silver & brass, Dogons, Whitehearts & goombas. Our silver comes from Morocco, Egypt, Ethiopia, Rajasthan, Nepal, Turkey, & Afghanistan.
