About Maitland District Hockey Club Inc

Maitland Hockey Club (MDHC) enters teams in both Maitland and Newcastle competitions in Girls, Boys, Womens and Mens divisions. We are the largest club in Maitland (and probably Newcastle as well) with 22 teams registered in both competitions.

MDHC has a number of representative players in Hunter and State teams. Simon Orchard was selected in the Australian Kookaburras for the recent 5 Nations tournament in South Africa. Col Ford is in the Australian over 50’s team which is about to play 3 tests against New Zealand. Kasey Cocking (NSW Arrows), Ashley Cocking (NSW Under 21’s) and Ben Urquhart (NSW Under 18’s) are current state representatives. Other players have gained state and national representative honours in veterans teams.
