And so, in the immortal words of Cypress Hill we bring you a new
kind of party. Brought to you by Scott KINK, Kato and Dan Cares!
LOCODISCO is party that’s purely about the party and only the party
(try saying that ten times fast)!!! And we are totally and utterly
excited about our new Saturday night residency @ Oxford St’s purpuse
built party house ‘Nevermind’.
LOCODISCO is a night for getting excited, getting ready, getting
loooose and getting down! All up, all in, great tunes, good friends,
random strangers, the odd freak, a drink or ten, getting wonky,
sweating on the dancefloor or romancing in the back room and running
wild in the night.
So ummm yeah more about locodisco… First of all we do everything.
We’re a bit weird. We don’t fancy getting pigeonholed by genre and the
people that come to our parties love the fact that across our two rooms
they’ll hear everything over the course of one madcap night. In the
mainroom you can get Loco to a top notch eclectic mix of house flavours
including electro, techno tasters, indie, fidget, baltimore club
bangers, big basslines and off course the occasional stone-cold classic
anthem all served through Nevermind’s amazing Funktion One sound-system
from Deejays like Ajax, Ro Sham Bo, Jaime Doom, Gus Da Hoodrat, GLOVES,
Mark Murphy, Headman, Kato, Dan Cares!, Ben Morris and more…
The backroom goes to the disco with a tasty mix of disco, nu wave
indie, classic party jams and maybe even a little hip hop supplied by
the likes of Tim CC, Vivi Not Disco, Cassette, Kali, Ash Le Rouge, Neil
Up, Picinic Soundsystem and many others.
So there you have it and that’s who we are, a night of pure twisted
musical eclecticisms which may sound bizarre on paper but once you hear
it pulsating through the Funktion One speakers you will find yourself
helpless, a slave to the beat, throwing your hands in the air and
acting like you just don’t care, OH YEAH!!!!.
