About Lateral Drafting
Lateral Drafting P/L is a family based business whose purpose is to provide quality professional work with friendly service. We create building designs that reflect the individuals’ needs while considering all aspects of the land and environment, all within the budget of our client.
Our aim is to provide designs that are attactive in appearance, with particular emphasis on a layout that flows easily and captures the sun, while still meeting all of the clients’ requirements.
Company Profile: Lateral drafting was first established in 1994 as a partnership, by Principle designer Michelle Hall along with her Husband Richard, as a home based business.
Currently, the business is located in its own building, with its four main staff members and numerous contractors that come and go when work permits. Each member of the team prides themselves in doing complete and comprehensive work in allotted time frames which we believe is why we have maintained a steadily growing clientele. We all love what we do and enjoy each others company which has fostered a happy, fun environment where many of our regular clients and contractors love to “pop-in” for a cuppa and a chat about their jobs, which helps to establish clear communication.
Michelle Hall: The Principle Designer has been working for over 20 years in the field, as a problem solver she stills enjoys the challenges presented to her, particularly with extensions where the client wants something in keeping with the existing house, or a new house where the view and the sun are opposing each other!
Richard Hall: The resident Architect, his excentric ways challenge and amuse the clients who “dare” to give him free rein. But if you’re not game to do that, his past experience in dealing with builders, fabricators and other tradesman will NOT leave you high and dry, if you need someone to go in and bat for you!! He’s your man!!
