About us:
A bright, friendly, new gallery in the Inner West of Sydney, the Kate Owen Gallery was established by Sydney artist Kate Owen, most recently known for her powerful images of the Australian Outback. The gallery was to be the Australian outlet for her work.
It is a surprisingly large gallery on two levels: a good sized gallery and a print room downstairs, the upstairs level being a funky combination of Kate's studio, stock and display areas, and a full length bar left over from the building's old gambling-den days! You will even be offered a drink here on weekends.
The gallery houses a large collection of indigenous works - often with Kate's work hanging comfortably alongside them.
Both well known and emerging artists are well represented. We have a large number of investment pieces including stunning foyer paintings to grace larger corporate buildings. Our emerging artists are selected for the power and promise of their work and as all of our works, competitively priced. All indigenous works at our gallery are fully authenticated.
The Gallery's bias for selecting both aboriginal and western art is towards contemporary works suitable for contemporary interiors (both corporate and private). In this regard, the work you will find here is stunning! Works are also selected not only for the name of the artist who produced it but also for the stand-alone quality of the piece as a genuine work of art.
