Junee Broadway Museum & Historical Society

The Broadway Museum of Junee, NSW, is the home of "The Junee and District Historical Society", a non profit organisation consisting of a bunch of retired individuals devoted to the acquisition of artifacts, documentation and photographs depicting the life and times of a rich pastoral area and a town with an exciting railway and industrial past.
Moved recently from inadequate premises in Peel Street, Junee, the museum is housed in the old Broadway Hotel building, a magnificent two story heritage structure of 1914.
Occupying the "Barroom" is "The Junee Heritage Lolly Shoppe and Coffee Bar", a private venture featuring all the 'Old Fashioned' sweets, a most excellent coffee and a good choice of drinks and snacks appropriate to the dignified premises.
Opening hours for the Museum and Coffee Shop are from 10am till 4pm five days a week from Wednesday till Sunday. Except for Christmas Day and Good Friday both premises are also active on public holidays. The curator is only too happy to organise opening the museum for groups where the advertised hours are not convenient.
