About JUNIPER ESTATE
Juniper wines are true expressions of the renowned ability of the Margaret River region, and the Wilyabrup area in particular, to produce rich, textured Cabernet Sauvignon with instant appeal and the capacity to age.
Juniper Estate has twelve acres of vines, all dry grown on the Wilyabrup gravelly loam soil which produces some of the most famous wines in Australia. The dry summers and long mild autumns in Margaret River produce low yields of intensely flavoured grapes, hand-picked at vintage from the old hand-pruned vines. the lack of irrigation forces the vines to concentrate growth in bunches of smaller berries, reducing yields and ensuring structure and intensity in the wines. In the vineyard the greatest care is taken to maximise the fruit flavours, ripeness and quality of the grapes so as to ensure the consistency and regional characteristics of our wine.
Juniper produces two ranges of wines from its modern winery on the property. The Estate Range, made entirely from fruit from the old unirrigated Estate vineyard, aims simply to achieve consistently as high a quality as possible for single-vineyard wines in Wilyabrup. The Crossing range, made from Estate fruit and fruit from other small, carefully maintained Margaret river vineyards, delivers high quality, good value for money wines to the consumer.
