Five Senses Education commenced operations in 1970, as a teaching
centre providing one-to-one tutoring for children with learning
difficulties. To meet the needs of those children we began to source
educational toys and books which at that time were only available for
schools from specialist educational suppliers.
At this time Five Senses was one of only a small number of retailers
supplying educational needs of parents and students for use at home.
Over the years our activities have expanded to encompass an extensive
retail range of toys, childrens books, text books, teachers' reference'
study guides and electronic educational products.
Our two retail stores operate 7 days, you are welcome to come in and
select from our goods in stock, or to order from our suppliers. Our
product range includes material from many manufacturers and publishers
from Australia and from overseas. In addition we publish more than 400
titles and are the exclusive suppliers of a large range of educational
toys sourced from Europe and Asia.
Five Senses employs nearly 100 teachers and tutors, providing
one-to-one tutoring to hundreds of students. We also run educational
sessions for pre-schoolers, and provide resources, advice and
assistance for parents of young children learning at home.
Our customer base includes many schools and colleges who source their text and resource needs from Five Senses.
