The TMT125’s ATEX, EEx, FM IS and NI approvals make it suitable for intrinsically safe installation in Zone 1 applications and as associated apparatus in Zone 2 hazardous areas. Endress+Hauser’s new temperature transmitter also conforms to the FISCO (Fieldbus Intrinsically Safe Concept) model thus providing easy and fast design and operation of Fieldbus-H1 installations in hazardous areas without any additional costs.
Moreover, the IP67 housing allows the unit to be mounted outdoors, while stainless steel M16 cable entries ensure safe entry of the sensor cable. The TMT125 can be installed on a top hat DIN rail and is optionally available with aluminium field housing which may be screwed directly onto a wall. It can be installed in areas having ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C.
Quick set-up and fast configuration of the relevant parameters is possible using the transducer block or Multiple Analog Input Block. Setup values and measured data transmission for the TMT125 is done using Foundation Fieldbus H1. Preventative maintenance is greatly simplified with the use of the sensor monitoring system which automatically recognises and alarms on cable open circuit, short circuit, wiring errors and hardware errors.
