ABOUT DREAMTIME OUTDOORS

Dreamtime Outdoors was established as Dreamtime Decking 5 years ago by the current director Rick Owen. Rick saw a need for a business that could help people to renovate their backyard, extending their living zones from kitchen, meals and living rooms into the outdoors.

With the restrictive costs of building an extension by adding rooms, Rick found a niche in the market. This meant that people could save tens of thousands of dollars, while creating a beautiful transition area between the indoors and the surrounding landscape.

Natural Australian hardwoods are the material of choice, providing customers with highly durable, long lasting decks that are sourced from well managed forests here in Australia. Few people realise that imported timbers often come from unmanaged forests that are rapidly shrinking. In Australia our forests are increasing in area, as new trees are planted to replace logged timbers and plantations are expanding each year. In fact our forestry industry is now carbon positive and fast becoming a major contributor to carbon storage.

With the help of good people, quality materials and some innovative methods of construction, Rick has been able to grow the business without losing the personal touch that gives his customers piece of mind throughout the design and building process.

Strong ties with other specialsts such as pavers, concreters, pool builders and fencers has allowed Rick to offer a complete landscaping service in recent years. Having gained registration as a Structural Landscaper with the Building Commission, Dreamtime Outdoors is well placed to take on large and complex projects and small jobs alike.
