DJC Furniture & Bedding Bankstown

When I first went to DJC looking for a bedroom suite I was quickly served by one of their staff. This was a good start as the gentleman seemed to know his products and was eager to answer any questions that I had. As soon as I agreed to purchase a bedroom suite though, he dropped the nice act and quickly offloaded me to another staff member. The big trouble began when the furniture arrived. Of the 4 piece bedroom suite, 3 items were incorrect (from another package) and the bed had multiple faults including wear, missing parts and a number of incorrect parts. When I contacted DJC, they took no responsibility for the faults and directed me to deal with the company who supplied them with the furniture. This company was apologetic and quickly replaced the incorrect items and missing parts, but was unable to provide any kind of reimbursement because my transaction was with DJC. One of the items that I received as a replacement was damaged though, so I again needed to contact them to get a replacement. This time I had to return the item for replacement myself. Overall I am very disappointed with DJC. They Talked up their products and provided only enough service to get me to make the purchase. After that they refused to facilitate the replacement of the damaged and missing items. When I spoke with a staff member in the store he said there was nothing he could do and shifted the blame. My attempts to contact them via email to formally request a reimbursement for the poor quality items, wasted time and trouble were ignored. I will definitely not be returning to DJC for my furniture.
