About Coal Valley Vineyard
The Coal Valley Vineyard is a beautifully situated vineyard, cellar door and function centre located in one of Tasmania's top wine growing areas, the Coal River Valley. Husband and wife team, Gill and Todd, own and run the Coal Valley Vineyard and they welcome you at the cellar door to try their premium cool climate wines. Less than 15 minutes drive from the heart of Hobart on the way to the historic village of Richmond it is well worth the drive. Gill and Todd are proud of a hands on approach in the vineyard where they aim to produce the absolute best quality grapes to make premium wine. Wine varieties made include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Merlot.
Just over 4.5 hectares, the Coal Valley Vineyard slopes down the hill with spectacular views of the estuary of the Coal River and Pittwater. Frequent events at the vineyard restaurant can be seen on the website
