About Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival
This iconic Queensland event is in its 15 year and coincides with Q150 celebrations. 2009 heralds the return of the Seafood And Wine Festival and is tipped to attract a record attendance, with thousands of people expected to swarm to Brisbane's biggest street party.
Held traditionally on the Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend, this year's Festival – to be held on 3 May – promises to be bigger and better with more delicious seafood, wine and a first-class line up of entertainment. Feel the buzz of the Festival atmosphere and tease your taste buds with the finest quality local seafood, wine and beer. Sit back and listen to some of Australia’s hottest music acts at Brisbane’s most famous party precinct – Caxton Street. There’s a sight and sound for every musical palate.
Pre-purchased tickets to the Festival will be available from 23 March from www.moshtix.com.au. Limited tickets will also be available on the day, with $2 from every ticket sold being donated to the Courier-Mail Children's Fund.
Doors open at 11am, with the entertainment kicking off at midday and wrapping up around 10pm. The 2009 Entertainment lineup will feature daytime JAZZ and BLUES and evening ROCK so that every musical taste can party all day and night!
