About Career FAQs

Career FAQs is the home of quality, fact-filled career resources. If you have questions about your dream career path, we have the answers. We have a book for every job imaginable – with prospects, prerequisites, salaries, conditions, lifestyles, career paths, and been-there-done-that war stories from industry veterans. You can read many interviews with professionals in a range of careers on our website.

Career FAQs books have an Australian focus but much of our content is very relevant to the global job market. Many of the people profiled in our books are working all over the world – in the UK, North America, Asia and Europe. And our résumé and cover letter advice, and interview tips, will help you get the job you want, no matter where you live.

Once upon a time, people started in a job when they finished school – or graduated from uni – and toiled away in that job whether they liked it or not for 40-odd years until retirement.

Times have changed. The job-for-life concept no longer exists – now most people change jobs and even industries several times during their working lives. Portfolio careers are all the go!

People now have more work options than ever before. Those dream jobs have never been more attainable.

However, for young people starting out – and for those considering a major career change – the options can seem overwhelming. Making decisions that will affect your job options down the track can be a very stressful process.

In the past there was no single source of market-specific career information that has been specifically tailored to the Australian market. Career FAQs books are now filling that gap.

With practical information and dozens of interviews with working professionals in Australia right now, you’ll hear first-hand how to get your foot in the door – and keep it there.
