What will Canopy do for me?
Carbon neutral products and services are increasingly popular with business. A tree-planting program is a great way to handle your emissions, unify your workforce and be a responsible corporate citizen. Everyone can make a difference. You don’t have to plant a whole forest, but the steps you take as an individual, the ‘seeds that you plant’ are vital in helping to reduce greenhouse gases Isn’t it better to reduce my carbon emissions rather than ‘buy’ credits to offset them? Indeed. While we love our trees, it would be better if everyone cut their emissions. Offsets are just a way to fill in the gaps you can’t otherwise attend to. We ask that all our corporate customers commit to a 10% emissions reduction program before they can join Canopy. We want everyone to audit themselves, avoid energy use, reduce energy use, reuse, recycle, switch to renewable energy and then revegetate to fill in the gaps. There will be no need to buy CO2 to offset your car if you decide to ride a bike.
