Cairns Holiday Homes

We loved staying here, lovely and cool in the tropical Cairns Dec heat! Perfect for our family stay, we felt sooo lucky finding this! A beautiful Queenslander with room for the little one to roam around it really was a home from home. Worked perfectly as our base in Redlynch, bus, pub and shop conveniently close, but the house an oasis of calm... everything we needed and more was provided ( wifi was much appreciated too!) . Teresa was a star, as we booked at such short notice.. Would heartly recommend as a holiday retreat, we will be back!

We have just stayed at Villa Gail at Yorkeys Knob in Cairns. It was a family affair with husbands and teenage kids. There were the mod cons for the kids with internet and TV and a beautiful pool and for the adults a gorgeous place to sip wine, barbecue and enjoy the views! Plenty of privacy for all of us and the icing on top was the wonderful Gail whose home we were staying at! It felt like we were were staying with a lovely Aunt. Invisible most of the time but always there if we needed the slightest thing ! She was also our guide for the things to do and see in Cairns and to top all of that she even drove two of the children to the airport who were on a later flight than us! A truly gorgeous lady that we hope to see again! Our stay was simply 5 out of 5 ! Just a warning though, to have such beautiful views you need to have stairs, Villa Gail has a few, but we enjoyed the workout after lazing around that pool ! We will return! Myself and five others stayed in the Wilks house for 2 weeks while we rehearsed for a musical in the Aboriginal community of Yarrabah. We are all musicians, so we have a keen attention to detail, and know the effect our environment has on creativity and inspiration. The Wilks house was just perfect to suit our needs, with 5 wonderful bedrooms and a studio somewhat separate from the rest of the house which we used as a rehearsal room. With a great vibe and perfect layout for musicians to jam, it was the house we had hoped for. Five stars.

My family has just rented this truly outstanding property. We had a ball. The house was well maintained and very presentable. The location and views were fantastic. I could imagine sitting on that balcony in the wet season listening to rain tumble on the huge veranda with a glass of wine in hand. Or swimming in the pool. We would certainly recommend this property.
