"Build A House" Competition is an initiative of Amanda Choy, Bank On Property. The "Build A House" Competition, designed for fundraising in Australian Primary Schools and teaching the benefits of Sustainable Living. The competition requires students to construct a house from recycled products. Entrants pay a $3.50 entry fee. All funds raised from entry fees are donated directly to the participating school.Build A House is creating a Sponsorship Network to support the competition being available to Primary Schools Australia wide."Build A House" Competitions are available to Primary Schools in QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA, NT AND WA.The "Build A House" Competition is our way of fostering the fascination that kids have with building houses, cubbies etc. and helping teach future generations about building eco-friendly homes. Cash prizes are a great incentive for children to become involved and learn the benefits of sustainable living.We have a Jugding Panel all of whom are Sponsors of the "Build A House" Competition. All of our Sponsors have the opportunity to participate as Judges on a rotation basis. "Build A House" Competitions are currently being planned for the Wooloowin State School (September 2007) and Kedron State School (October 2007). The "Build A House" Competitions will be run in conjuction with their school fetes. Funds raised from the Wooloowin State School will go towards the purchase of an additional rainwater tank for the school.
