Independent consulting body, primarily in the fields of occupational health and safety, vocational rehabilitation and workers compensation. Work has been undertaken for a wide range of organisations including the International Labour Office (Geneva), Institute of Work and Health (Toronto), Victorian WorkCover Authority, WorkCover Authority of New South Wales, WorkCover Corporation of South Australia, Transport Accident Commission (Victoria), Victorian Auditor General and the Accident Compensation Corporation (New Zealand).
The principal of Bracton Consulting Services, Alan Clayton, has been actively involved in these areas for over two decades. He is also an honorary associate of the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law at the University of Melbourne, the National Research Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Regulation at the Australian National University and the Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health at the University of Ballarat.
Alan Clayton has presented at conferences in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, France, Sweden, Denmark and the Philippines on workers compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety issues and has taught at a tertiary level in both Australia and the United States. He has published widely in the field of accident compensation with his work appearing in books and journals in Australia, the United States and Europe. He co-edited a series of essays published by the Swedish Work Environment Fund and acted as a co-author of a major workers compensation review undertaken by the W E Upjohn Institute for Employment Research in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
