Bomac Engineering is very proud to announce that Altrac was recently named the 2006 Innovative Product of the Year (Industrial) at the Manufacturers' Monthly Endeavour Awards. The award is given for innovation, creativity, acceptance in the market place, delivery of value to users and competitive advantages. Bomac beat out many larger companies nominated in the same category. The Highly Commended award in this category was awarded to a company with a turnover in the $100 million range and around 300 employees. Company director and inventor of Altrac, Barry McFarlane was surprised and overjoyed when Bomac was announced as the winner of this prestigious award. Heading up to the stage on the heels of such a large company, he said Bomac has only a handful of employees and yet the company has proved itself “a butterfly among eagles who will continue to swing above its weight”. Bomac was commended by one of the judges who said “outside-the-box thinking has moved the company to a leadership position in their market.” The judges for the Endeavour Awards included John Blakemore, president of the Manufacturing Society of Australia; Mark Goodsell, NSW director of Australian Industry Group; Alan Johnson, editor of Manufacturers’ Monthly; Derek Lark, executive director of Industry Capability Network; and Lazlo Nemes, science director of CSIRO Complex System Integration.

This product was named Innovative Product of the Year at the 2006 Endeavour Awards. Attendees are invited to stop by stand K4 to see Bomac’s products and discuss technical details with an engineer.
