Software developer Bizcaps has bolstered its Software Development team with the appointment of David Chiew as a Senior Software Developer. Dave graduated from UNSW as a Bachelor of Software Engineering with First Class Honours. He has 11 years’ software development experience, including periods as a Team Leader and Software Development Manager, most recently at Baseplan Software and Corbett Research. He has had a particular focus on object-oriented design but also has extended experience with software quality control particularly in complex medical applications. Asked about the software developer’s role, Dave’s answer reveals his addiction to Japanese anime: “Software developers are like ninja, we come in to work ready to do battle every day!!”. The battles started early - his popular chat program was banned from his school, because his classmates used it to chat during classes. Bizcaps Chief Ninja, Rob Clifton-Steele, said, “Like all good ninja, Dave certainly hits the ground running every day. Bizcaps is expanding its teams in both Sydney and Melbourne during 2011. Dave has a terrific range of experience that fits exactly with our plans for the development of our software. His appointment will allow us to ramp up the development of the tools provided with our BPM Business Project Manager software.” David Chiew will work in Bizcaps’ Kent Street Sydney office.
