A Club designed with the collector in mind or the accumulator wanting to offload their hoard. No formal meetings at this stage, just many emails, trading [both actual bottles, dairy related items & stories] and a place to share information with like minded collectors.
Many of the [informal] members are passionate about their collection and provide a depth of knowledge about bottled milk delivery in and the containers that carried it to doorsteps.
Assistance is often given to family members researching family trees and 'family' bottles are sometimes located as a new heirloom.
Donations of unwanted bottles and associated dairy memorabilia are always welcome and are gratefully accepted.
Members are usually willing to purchase wanted bottles and dairy related paraphernalia for their various collections and also invite people with bottles for sale, single or accumulations, to contact the club.
Photos or rubbings of unique bottles are also sought for our ever increasing archive of embossed or colour printed Australian milk &/or cream bottles.
Any details [preferably in writing, email or faxed] regarding delivery of milk to households, anecdotal, family based or the like, is always well received and appreciated.
