Launched in August 2008, The Australian Marinas Guide was developed in response to boaties’ needs, and aims to include every marina in Australia (including a few safe harbours where conventional marinas don't exist) Boaties said they wanted to enjoy their day out on the water, and didn't want to waste time trawling the web trying to find a safe marina stopover. New vessel purchasers wanted to know where they could berth their boats. When undertaking passage planning, mariners wanted to know where the marinas and harbours were located. They needed to know what facilities were available and how to contact the harbourmaster. Once they arrived they wanted to know what to see and do, where to go and how to entertain the crew. Our research indicated that the marketplace didn’t service this need adequately.
The Guide incorporates the latest advances in internet technology. Interactive maps enable mariners to zoom in on an aerial view of their chosen marina and adjacent waterways. Street View links on every marina map entry provide a 360 degree photographic image from the marker position.
For a small annual fee, marina operators have the opportunity to upgrade their listings to either Standar or Premium. Marinas can then include details on all the attractions, services and facilities they offer, making it easier for boaties to make decisions about which marina will suit their needs.
Australian Marinas Guide is committed to providing accurate up to date information on every marina in Australia. We specialise in boating lifestyles, and we know the business well, both from a marketing perspective, and from a boaties perspective. We regularly visit marinas across Australia in order to keep abreast of happenings, developments and changes.
